    We've continued working with residents and colleagues to improve services, communication and engagement.

    We facilitated an engagement session with our Community Hubs team and Empowered, to continue discussions about the Hindle House gym. To find out more about this session, see the Hindle House Gym engagement session notes.

    It's been just over a year since we began working in Hindle House to improve local services, engagement and communication. There's been some improvements and residents and colleagues have held more positive conversations about the future of Hindle House, but we know there's still some work to do.

    We've continued working with colleagues and residents to ensure decisions about Hindle House are agreed collaboratively. See the 'Important Communications' section for the 'Community Projects Consultation' 'Hindle House Gym Consultation' and 'Bike Shed Rental Process Consultation' reports to read resident's feedback on future projects for the community and the bike shed rental service. We'll also be uploading outcome/impact reports to show how resident's feedback was used. We would also like to thank everyone that completed the recent 'Southern Housing Services Survey', we’re reviewing the responses, will share feedback with you in the next newsletter and will be in touch about further work we'll be doing to address resident feedback.

    Finally we're continuing to run the Hindle House virtual notice board and deliver newsletters, which can be found here, the communications team are looking to make the newsletter quarterly and want hear your thoughts about this and the type of content you’d like to see in future editions. If you'd like the newsletter to remain monthly and have suggestions email contactus@southernhousing.org.uk with the heading ‘Hindle House newsletter’.

    Since April 2023, Southern Housing has been working with residents at Hindle House to improve communications, engagement, and services on the estate.

    We want to continually hear your thoughts on how things are going and understand how you’re currently feeling about Southern Housing services, specially about the repair’s services before our new contractor starts in June.

    Please complete the survey by Wednesday 5 June 2024. Everyone who takes the survey will be given the opportunity to enter our prize draw to win a £100 shopping voucher.

    We're continuing to collaborate with Hindle House residents and colleagues to improve engagement, communication and services. This month we're consulting with residents on the review of the 'Bike Shed Rental Process'.


    Please get involved and help shape the new process.

    This survey should take around 7 minutes to complete and will close on Wednesday 24 April.

    Please read on for the latest updates on the work we've been doing at Hindle House.

    Resident Involvement Engagement Sessions.

    The last session took place in September, please see the 'important communication' section for the notes. We discussed; the original action plan, community centre, estate care, service charges, anti- social behaviour, the set up of the residents association and more. We've now handed over to the Hindle House TRA who will be organising future meetings with Southern Housing teams.


    Your new Tenant Resident Association (TRA).

    All residents were invited to the 'initial meeting' which took place on 12 September 2023 in the community centre. At this meeting the TRA officers were selected. Please see the 'important communication' section for the minutes. The association can be contacted by emailing hindlehousetg@gmail.com.

    We met with a few residents to discuss the action plan from the meeting on Tuesday 20 June. The notes from this session can be found in the 'important communication' section. Items we discussed included the community centre, ongoing repairs, community projects and more. We also addressed TSG gas services.

    The engagement session on Tuesday 20 June was well attended, we thank all residents that made it. We took away a number of actions and feedback and there has already been some progress made.
