Why is the front of the building going green again
Christie asked 3 months agoThank you for your question and apologies for the delay in getting back to you on this. We have checked with the contractor, and they advised that there was a break in the seal of a drainpipe and the leaking water caused the green stain. This has now been fixed, and the contractor will monitor for any further failings in the drainpipes. I have not been able to attend site to check but we are told that the green marks have been cleaned, we will check this in the New Year when we visit site again.

Christie asked about 2 months agoHi Christie
I answered your last 2 questions publicly, are you unable to see them in this questions section? I will chase up about the building going green and come back to you with an update on that.
We anticipate that the situation will be the same in 2 weeks times and the site will be closing for Christmas, therefore we decided that we would be able to provide you with more of a substantial update in the New Year. If we do take practical completion before Christmas or if anything does change then we will of course let you know straight away.

Christie asked 3 months agoHi Christie
Thank you for your question. Southern Housing have a Quality Control Manager (QCM) who snags the homes in line with the build contract and NHBC guidelines. As Southern Housing has the contract with HG, it will be our responsibility to complete the snagging and de-snagging with them before we accept handover. Please be assured we will not take handover of homes until we are satisfied that HG has met the required standards.
When you move in, you will have a defect liability period that will enable you to report any faults you identify, and you will receive a Home User Guide which gives details about the defect liability period.
We will arrange a viewing for buyers to visit their homes after we have taken handover from our construction team. This visit will be an opportunity to see the home again before you instruct your solicitor to set your completion date.
