The government has introduced a new standard called Social Tenants Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs). This is designed to make it easier for you to access important information about your home, your landlord, and the services you receive.
Why is this happening?
Events like the Grenfell Tower fire and the death of Awaab Ishak showed that residents were not always given the information they needed to challenge unsafe or poor housing conditions. STAIRs aims to change that by increasing transparency and giving you the tools to hold landlords to account.
What does this mean for you?
- By October 2026, we will publish key information about how we run our services
- From April 2027, you will have a legal right to request information about how we manage your home and services.
This survey is about how easy it is for you to find and understand information about Southern Housing as an organisation (not your personal data). Your feedback will help us make this process clearer and more useful for you.
Please take a few minutes to share your views. Your input will shape how we prepare for STAIRs and improve the way we communicate with you.
