Initial ideas drop-in events

You may have seen us outside Benson Court Family Centre talking with residents and leading a themed mapping activity to gather initial ideas about our proposals on:

  • Thursday 7 September (3.30pm to 7.30pm)
  • Saturday 9 September (10am to 2pm).

The Scope of influence illustrates the six themes where residents have the most influence. These are:

  • Open space
  • Play
  • Space for young people
  • Access and movement
  • Community space
  • Safety and security

We advertised these events by letter, posters on noticeboards and by leaflet. A total of 77 residents attended these events, representing 30-40 households. Thank you to everyone who took part.

You can view the Feedback summary from these events in Activity materials and information below.

Survey - community spaces

We created a survey that offers a quick and easy way to tell us your initial ideas on the six main areas of influence. These are:

  • Open space
  • Play
  • Space for young people
  • Access and movement
  • Community space
  • Safety and security

The online survey was open from Tuesday 5 September to Saturday 30 September.

Residents who included text or email in their contact preferences (when asked by Southern Housing or formerly, Optivo), may receive notifications by text or email, reminding them to take part.

73 visitors viewed the online survey and we received 13 responses. Thank you to those of you who took part.

A summary report from the Community space survey is included in Feedback from events and activities (down the right hand side or below if using a handheld device).
